Mal Blum is a 22 year old songwriter and performer based in New York. She has opened for many national artists including Kimya Dawson, Amanda Palmer and Bitch, as well as supporting indie rocker Melissa Ferrick on her fall 2009, and winter/spring 2010 tours. Her music has been featured in the top 5 count of LOGO's The Click List (recently voted a top ten video of 2009!), in numerous music blogs and publications and has been named Kill Rock Stars' "Demo of The Week." Mal will be touring this fall/spring to promote her third album, Every Time You Go Somewhere, which has already garnered critical praise.
Mal plans on releasing a new music video in mid-September. Mal also plans to turn 23 one day, maybe a year or two from now. Mal likes good manners, new jersey diners, popcorn flavored jelly beans, making music, playing shows, and meeting new friends. Mal would like to play at your college, venue, event, house party, and bar or bat mitzvah. L'chaim!
